Panel Structure & Material Construction

Our acoustic wall panels are built from several functional layers, with each layer selected according to the required appearance, acoustic performance and installation conditions.

Decorative Surface

Natural wood veneer, engineered veneer, melamine, HPL, paint or UV lacquer can be applied according to the project finish schedule.

MDF Core

High-density MDF provides the structural base for machining and surface finishing. Standard, moisture-resistant and fire-retardant MDF options are available for different project conditions.

Acoustic Backing

The rear side can be fitted with black acoustic fleece or recycled PET acoustic felt, typically 9–12 mm thick. The backing works with the machined MDF surface and installation cavity to absorb sound energy.

Acoustic Performance

Acoustic performance depends on the panel construction, slot or perforation pattern, backing material, air cavity and installation method.

Surface Finishes & Design Options

Natural Wood Veneer

Oak, Walnut, Ash, Teak, Ebony, Maple and Beech are available for projects requiring a natural timber appearance.

01

Engineered Veneer

Provides more consistent grain and color across larger quantities and multi-room projects.

02

Melamine & HPL

Available in wood grains, solid colors and other decorative finishes where scratch resistance and easier maintenance are required.

03

Paint & UV Lacquer

Custom colors can be matched to specified RAL or Pantone references, subject to sample approval.

Applications by Project Type

Designed for commercial, institutional, and high-end residential interiors:

Commercial Offices & Boardrooms: Reduces ambient echo in open-plan spaces, improving conference call clarity and speech privacy.

Hotels & Hospitality: Creates warm, luxurious feature walls in lobbies, corridors, and private dining rooms while maintaining acoustic comfort.

Education & Healthcare: Improves acoustic comfort in lecture halls, libraries, and hospital reception zones to minimize noise fatigue.

Recording Studios & Home Theaters: Balances room reflections for accurate sound monitoring and immersive listening environments.

How to Select the Right Panel

Acoustic Requirement
Determine whether the project primarily requires reverberation control, speech clarity or broader sound absorption. Panel construction and backing should be selected accordingly.

Panel Construction
Slatted, grooved and perforated designs provide different acoustic and visual characteristics. The slot or perforation pattern should be matched to the required acoustic build-up.

Backing & Air Gap

PET thickness, additional acoustic material and rear air cavity can affect overall absorption. For projects with defined acoustic targets, the complete installation build-up should be considered.

Environmental Conditions

Standard MDF is intended for controlled interior environments. Moisture-resistant MDF can be specified for areas with higher humidity.

Fire Requirements

For public and commercial projects, the required fire classification should be confirmed at the product-construction level before ordering.

Manufacturing Process

Material Inspection
MDF boards, veneers, decorative surfaces and PET backing are checked against production requirements before processing.

CNC Machining
Automated cutting, grooving, slitting and perforation control panel dimensions, slot spacing and machining depth.

Surface Finishing
Veneer, melamine, HPL, paint or other specified finishes are applied according to the approved sample and production specification.

Acoustic Backing
PET felt or acoustic fleece is bonded to the rear of the machined panel using the specified bonding process.

Final Inspection
Finished panels are checked for dimensions, surface appearance, edge condition, machining consistency and backing adhesion before packing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can MDF acoustic wall panels be used in humid areas?

A: Standard MDF is intended for controlled indoor environments. Moisture-resistant MDF can be specified for projects with higher humidity, together with an appropriate surface finish.

Q: Can you provide acoustic test reports?

A: Acoustic test reports can be provided for applicable panel constructions. Because acoustic results depend on the complete panel build-up and installation condition, the test configuration should be confirmed against the project specification.

Q: Can the panel size and slot pattern be customized?

A: Yes. Panel dimensions, thickness, slot width, spacing, groove pattern and perforation can be customized according to drawings or project requirements.

Q: Do you offer custom veneer and color matching?

A: Yes. Natural and engineered veneers, melamine, HPL and painted finishes are available. Custom colors can be matched against approved RAL or Pantone references where applicable.

Q: What is the typical production lead time?

A: For standard configurations, production normally takes around 12–15 working days after order confirmation and sample approval. Customized projects may require additional time depending on materials, finish and quantity.

Q: How are the panels packed for export?

A: Panels are protected with surface interlayers, edge protection and reinforced export packaging before being loaded on wooden pallets. Packaging can be adapted to container loading and project shipping requirements.
